Q4 2023 Snapshot: France's Top Android Virtual Fitness Programs

As the year 2023 comes to a close, Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the performance of the top virtual fitness applications on Android in France for the fourth quarter. This period saw varying trends in downloads and user activity across the leading apps in the category.

Macadam - Walk And Earn opened the quarter with approximately 31K downloads and closed with 22K, showing a slight decrease over the period. Weekly active users started at around 203K and increased to approximately 236K by the quarter's end.

WeWard, another prominent player, experienced a decrease in downloads from 18K to about 19K, while its active user base saw a significant drop from roughly 2.7M to 2.1M by the end of Q4.

Step Counter - Pedometer showed an interesting trend with its downloads starting at nearly 18K and finishing the quarter stronger at around 16K. Weekly active users began at 63K and rose to about 59K.

Basic-Fit witnessed a decline in downloads from 19K to 12K over the quarter, and its weekly active users also saw a decrease from 245K to approximately 220K.

Lastly, Strava: Run, Bike, Hike stood out with its revenue generation, starting the quarter with $38K and peaking at $41K in revenue. Downloads for Strava fluctuated, beginning at 16K and spiking to 21K towards the end of December. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 492K and increasing to 512K.
